Prompt Builder
Prompts for our Vision Language Model
How to use this guide
This Prompt Pack is a menu of policy building blocks for the Hive Vision Language Model (VLM). Each block is a small, well-scoped instruction you can copy, tweak, and combine to create your own policy.
Workflow
Pick a domain
Browse the sections that match your use case.
Build your policy
Copy the sample prompts you need and concatenate them into one policy text covering all of the domains you need.
Keep the wording and structure consistent (e.g., all "Flag if…" or "### Task X: Suggestive Content").
Test & iterate
Try a few examples in the Playground. Be specific about what to flag vs allow, add edge cases, and iterate until the output matches your expectations.
Tips for great results
- Be explicit. Define terms (“nudity includes …”), edge cases, and context the VLM should watch out for.
- Be as clear as you would be to a human moderator.
- Stay consistent. Avoid mixing conflicting instructions.
- Prefer structure. If you want machine-readable output, add “Return JSON: { … }” or use a JSON schema.
- Think of your final prompt as your text policy. The VLM will behave like a classifier for that policy—so clarity in the prompt = clarity in the results.
Note: Add this to the bottom of your policy!
Your output should be a valid json object containing a field with the predicted label for each task above. Here is an example:
{
"bloody": "<very_bloody>|<a_little_bloody>|<other_blood>|<no_blood>"
# ...other domains, etc...
}
